Life Lab Garden

The Life Lab garden is a place for students to learn about science and our environment. It is also a place to have fun and to work together as a team.

Our Life Lab instructor works with classroom teachers to determine how they can use the Life Lab garden to enhance classroom learning. Students enjoy having the chance to get their hands dirty and explore the garden as they learn about scientific concepts.

Students contribute to maintaining the garden though weeding, planting and harvesting. Green Apple Day is an annual event which encourages parents to also come help in the garden alongside their children.

Do you like to work in the garden? Would you like to help students appreciate science, nature and nutrition?

We would love to have parents volunteer to help during Life Lab classes in the garden. Classes are held Mondays, 11-12 and 1-2, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10-12 and 1-3.

To volunteer, please contact the office.

Nutrition in the Garden

In the outdoor Life Lab kitchen, students get to enjoy the food they grow by preparing healthy snacks out of the garden's vegetables.

This is a highlight for students who get to try new foods and healthy recipes that they had a part in making.
